A string of recent reports show that mobile content use in the UK, US and Russia is on the up.
According to a report from Bango, a mobile payment company, US mobile use has increased three fold over the past year, while research firm Gfk M 2 predicts UK consumers are to spend £1 billion bounds or more on mobile content this year. That's around £100 million more than last year. On the Russian front, which currently spends $US882 per year, overall spending is expected to exceed $US1 billion by 2010, according to C*News.
All that said, a survey by the Mobile Entertainment Forum says that despite all the spending, consumers remain fairly dis-satisfied with their services -- with a scant 26% currently satisifed.
Highest satisfaction in the US is for mobile TV while the UK still loves its wallpaper and ringtones (that darn ever popular Crazy Frog!).
